You have to work under the car to get to these parts--use jack stands for safety. Install the mounting bolts and tighten to 106 in-lbs 12 Nm. Install the 8 plastic retainers and the 6 clips holding the cowl vent screens to the inner panels. Ive changed oil at 5K and at 150,000miles it burns a quart between changes - started that only last year. Now, it has around 127,000 miles on it and it's still going strong! It drives fine though with no turning issues until I'm near to a stop.
I'm just plain sick of it. Check for intake leaks and ignition issues. I'd go with Rick's suggestion above. Replaced parts of it twice.
Does the solenoid click when trying to start the car? Car out of warranty at 36k. Sadly they build a lot of these in to the fuel pumps - yours should be somewhere visible around your throttle body or fuel rail. He has tried new spark plugs which helped for not even a day, he has checked fuel trims and they are within spec, and he is going to do a compression check soon just to rule out compression. This car is painful to drive, even when it is running. It's just falling apart and there's nothing I can do. If fuel is present this is likely you're issue and needs replaced.
Some people think it is ugly, but it is a very safe vehicle none the less. Edit: I forgot to mention that it cranks for about 5-6 seconds, hits 3-4 times, then starts.
